Ronald McDonald - BE TRAVELWISE

Ronald MacDonald came to school yesterday.  He came to teach us how to be road smart.  We learnt about stopping, looking and listening before crossing the road.

We sang the make it click song.  This is about putting on your seatbelt in the car.

We learnt to look out for sneaky driveways.  Sneaky driveways hide behind fences and bushes.  This means we must look for cars.

Ronald had a school road patroller help him cross the road safely.

Ronald was funny.  We learnt heaps about being safe by and on the road.
Thank you Ronald for teaching us.

Running the School Assembly

Today we ran the school assembly.  To do this we have learn about how to hold the microphone and to speak into it and to not hold it like an icecream.  We did the dance the Pukeko Stomp.  We sang the Kiwi Kids song with the rest of the school.  We taught the school about the Queen's Birthday and that is 60 years since she was crowned queen.  For our dance we wore pukeko hats.
